Beaumont police officers wear pink for cancer awareness

The Beaumont Police Department is taking some time to recognize Breast Cancer Awareness Month.           
Today at a news conference, Police Chief Jimmy Singletary said that officers will be wearing pink ribbons on their uniforms and k-9 officers would be using pink leashes and collars.
Beaumont police have teamed with the Julie Rogers Gift of Life program to raise awareness and educate individuals about breast cancer.
A representative of the Gift of Life program says they're happy to team up with the police.Beaumont police officers wear pink for cancer awareness
