Community leaders pitch in at Habitat for Humanity

Updated: Tuesday, October 8 2013, 05:59 PM CDT
Habitat for Humanity has been building homes in Jefferson County for 34 years and is currently working on house number 116.
Ashley Campbell of Beaumont will be the recipient of this new home which she will help build.
One of the requirements is that each new homeowner put in 300 hours of work on the house.
This particular home is being built in a special way.
The other volunteers raised money to be able to participate in building this home.
This wide array of community leaders and business owners each raised $250 and then volunteered their time to help Habitat for Humanity in getting this home in Beaumont's north end complete.
Twenty-one volunteers helped out today including Fox 4's Justin Hinton.
Weather permitting, Ashley Campbell is hoping she and her family can move into their new home by Christmas.Community leaders pitch in at Habitat for Humanity
