Five dead from H1N1 in Beaumont

The Beaumont Public Health Department is urging everyone to get a flu shot, which protects against H1N1, or swine flu. So far, 13 people have died from swine flu in the greater Houston area. Five of those people died in Beaumont.            
A Beaumont mother lost her son a few weeks ago to a sudden, flu-like illness. They both thought he had a cold until his symptoms quickly escalated.
She took him to the emergency room when he said he couldn't breathe.
Keith Eddingston died at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital on December 13. His mother warns people experiencing flu-like or cold symptoms to go to the doctor and get a chest x-ray.Five dead from H1N1 in Beaumont
