How to recycle your Christmas tree

Updated: Thursday, December 26 2013, 06:06 PM CST
Are you thinking about taking down the Christmas decorations but not sure what to do with the Christmas tree?
The City of Beaumont is offering a simple solution that's also good for the environment -- tree recycling.
The city offers three drop-off locations where you can leave your Christmas tree.
Beginning today, you can drop your tree off at Rogers Park on Dowlen Road, Magnolia Park on Magnolia Avenue or at Sprott Park on Usan Street.
If you're not quite ready to toss the tree yet, the drop-off locations remain open through Friday, January 10.
You can also leave your tree on the curb on your regular trash collection day.
The trees are converted to mulch and the mulch is available to residents at the city's landfill.
Residents can pick up free mulch every Saturday between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. at 4955 Laffin Road. How to recycle your Christmas tree
