Smartphone app allows Beaumont residents to easily report potholes

Updated: Friday, October 18 2013, 06:01 PM CDT
If you want to report a pothole on your street or call about a stray animal, there's now an app for that.
The City of Beaumont launched its 3-1-1 app this week.
You can now report issues on the go.
Issues such as high weeds, stray animals, leaking water pipes, and potholes are among the many issues you can select on the app.
The app automatically pinpoints your GPS location, so 3-1-1 request staff know where the problem is located.
To give more specific information, you can submit a picture of the issue and send it to the city.
The app is free to download and free to use.
The city communications manager says even though the city launched the app this week, they've already received requests.Smartphone app allows Beaumont residents to easily report potholes
