Candlelight vigil held for Kimberly Langwell and other missing persons

Updated: Saturday, July 12 2014, 11:41 PM CDT
BEAUMONT - Concerned Southeast Texans held a candlelight vigil tonight
to keep the stories of missing persons alive and encourage people to
come forward with information about people who have gone missing.

It's been 15 years since Kimberly Langwell went missing July 9, 1999.

Langwell spoke to her daughter on her cell phone that evening, but she never came home that night.

Kimberly Langwell's car was found abandoned in the old Eckerds' parking lot at Dowlen and Phelan.

Dede
Keene has been telling Langwell's story for 15 years by holding
candlelight vigils on the anniversary of her disappearance.

This year, she expanded the vigil to remember all missing Southeast Texans.

People gathered at Phelan and 23rd Street on Saturday to pray and remember those who have gone missing.

She says it's important for missing persons to have a voice.

If
you have any information about Kimberly Langwell or any other missing
person you are asked to call your local police department.Candlelight vigil held for Kimberly Langwell and other missing persons
