OSU allegations continue as Cardinals prepare for game

Updated: Wednesday, September 11 2013, 10:06 PM CDT
Oklahoma State's football program is a hot topic nationally right now, and it's not because the 12th-ranked Cowboys have started the season with two wins by an average of nearly 20 points.
No-- OSU is under fire from allegations in a feature by Sports Illustrated, a 10-month investigation that is broken down into a five part series. Money was just part one released yesterday. The allegations include academic help, lenient drug pollicies and a "hostess"  program. OSU is being asked a lot of questions, and most of them have nothing to do with their game this weekend -- the one against the Lamar Cardinals. But Cowboys head coach Mike Gundy did guide the topic to his task at hand this Saturday.

The same can be said for the Lamar Cardinals. They're not expected to win in Stillwater this Saturday, but that doesn't mean it can't happen. Their preparation this week-- yesterday, today and tomorrow-- will be key in how well the Cards will compete. The Red Birds may not have won last week at LA Tech, but they learned a lot and can use that to get better moving forward. OSU allegations continue as Cardinals prepare for game
