Southeast Texas faces only moderate drought
While much of Texas still faces a severe drought, the drought here in Southeast Texas is mild to moderate, and many are hoping the rain in our area will bring some relief.
In Jefferson County, we're still feeling the impact of previous droughts.
An agent with the Agrilife Extension Office says rain could provide relief to this area where the drought isn't severe and that only a handful of counties have burn bans.
