Charges dismissed against Bartholomew Granger's brother
The brother of the man who opened fire at the Jefferson County Courthouse is now out of jail after a judge dismissed indecency charges against him.
During a news conference in Houston the night of March 14th last year, officers arrested Lyndon Granger on an outstanding warrant for indecency with a child. He was at the news conference with political activists to talk about the courthouse shooting that day involving his brother.
Fox 4's Megan Dillard has learned the complaining witness in the indecency case against Lyndon Granger did not want to pursue the case. We've also been told she wants to move on with her life.
Today the charges against Lyndon Granger were dropped and tonight he's no longer in the Jefferson County Jail.
On March 14, his brother Bartholomew Granger shot and killed 79-year-old Minnie Ray Sebolt outside the Jefferson County Courthouse.
He also shot three other women including his daughter and her mother.
A jury convicted Granger of capital murder and in May judge Bob Wortham sentenced him to death.
