2 dead, 2 in critical condition after shooting at Nevada middle school
From FOX News/ Associated Press:
Sparks, NEVADA - Two people are dead and two boys are in critical condition after a shooting Monday at a middle school in Nevada, authorities say.
Angela Rambo, a spokeswoman for the Renown Regional Hospital, said both patients injured in the shooting at Sparks Middle School in Sparks, Nev., were males, the Reno Gazette-Journal reports.
The suspect in the shooting has died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, City Manager Shawn Carey says. Another person who was not identified also was killed, police say.
A Sparks police dispatcher said reports of the shooting started coming in at 7:16 a.m. Monday. The area is now secure.
Washoe County School District spokesman Charles Rahn told the Associated Press that the middle school and the adjacent Agnes Risley Elementary School have been evacuated to Sparks High School. Rahn said the middle and elementary schools will be closed Monday.
Sparks is a city just east of Reno.
