Driving simulator teaches students danger of distracted driving
We're aware of the dangers of texting and driving, but it's always good to be reminded.
The Texas Department of Transportation brought distracted driving simulators to Nederland and Port Neches-Groves high schools.
Fortunately for all involved, the crashes are virtual, so the roads where the students are texting and driving and putting themselves and others in a dangerous situation exist only on a TV screen in front of them.
AT&T donated the simulators to TxDot to bring awareness to how deadly texting and driving can be.
