9/11 flight attendant's wings returned to airline museum
They were found among the ashes of the 9-11 terror attacks.
Now, a set of American Airlines flight attendant wings and pin have a permanent home in the company's museum.
More than a dozen people gathered to see the relics during a special ceremony at the C.R. Smith Museum on Thursday in Dallas.
The wings and pin may have never returned had it not been for Joan Cote, director of the USO in Delaware.
She discovered them nearly two years ago among some unclaimed items from the Pentagon crash and arranged for their return.
Because it's unclear just who owned the wings and pin, the airline dedicated them in memory of all who died when Flight 77 crashed into the Pentagon.
