Woodville man passes out after leading deputies on high-speed chase
A 26-year-old man from Woodville was clocked at more than 100 miles an hour when he led Jefferson County deputies on a chase.
Deputies say along the way, he ran drivers off the road.
The chase started on Interstate 10 near the Highway 365 overpass. Jefferson County deputies used a radar gun to clock the drivers speed.
Deputies were able to catch him at Brooks Road, and the car he was driving was reported stolen out of Tyler County.
He's being charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and felony evading arrest.
The driver appeared to be under the influence and passed out after being taken into custody. He was taken to Baptist Hospital for evaluation.
