Weather causes delay in Hardin County murder trial
HARDIN COUNTY - The expected icy weather is also delaying the start of testimony in a Hardin County murder trial.
Joshua Glaze is charged with murder in the death of 18 year old Brian Drake, Junior.
Glaze's cousin Curtis is serving a life sentence for the same crime after his conviction last month.
Investigators say shots were fired at Drake during a chase in November of 2012 down Highway 326 between Kountze and Sour Lake.
Deputies say a bullet went through the headrest and hit Drake in the back of his head. He veered off the highway and went over an embankment. He died at the scene.
A jury of twelve and two alternates was seated today as family members and friends looked on.
Testimony begins next Monday and the trial is expected to last about a week.
If convicted Glaze faces up to life in prison and $10,000 fine.
