Port Arthur city manager reaches agreement with city council
Floyd Johnson is out as city manager in Port Arthur.
Johnson and the city agreed to part ways today after Johnson signed an agreement to leave his post.
Today, the city council appointed John Comeaux acting city manager, and tomorrow, they'll name an interim city manager.
As part of the separation agreement, the city will pay Johnson more than $100,000.
That pay includes six months base salary plus sick leave and vacation time pay outs.
The city also agreed to pay $3,300 into a retirement fund of Johnson's choice.
City council says it will hire a search firm to find a permanent replacement.
